Constant Proof

I don't know about you but my mind sometimes needs constant proof! Constant proof of what? Of everything!

When you have come from a family history of "not enough" you are always subconciously looking for proof: that you are loved, that you are good enough, that you fit in, that you matter... It's sad.

What is even sadder (is that a word?) is that sometimes we create havoc just to see if we are being valued. This is wasting productive energy... this is drainging our relationships for no good reason. This will add to your constant unhappiness, not deduct from it!

Learn to give and receive the proof you need in healthy ways...  when I buy a news paper from someone on the street selling it, I always say "keep the change"... this is my healthy way of proving to myself that THERE IS ENOUGH! When I enter a room, like when I had my mamogram done last month ( They make you change into a thin, sheet -like robe) I exclaimed " Wow, I feel like I have just joined a club!!!!",  to the other 10 ladies sitting there with the same robes on! It was my proof that I fit in... they all laughed... and I did.

Try to see how you give and receive the proof you need. Give and receive it in healthy ways and one day you may not need it at all!
