Which Road Are You Walking Down Today?

Sunset.jpgLet me inspire you to examine for a moment where you are! This is very important information and most often ignored because we simply do not take the time to inquire. Are you walking down the road you want to be on? Is this road taking you to where you want to go? If not, they we need to stop and get a grip... and think a moment about where we are going. You see sometimes we are walking constantly down the same road expecting to arrive at a different destination (definition of insanity: Doing the same things over and over again expecting a different result). We get to this same place every time and wonder why!

Well, today let's look at the choices we make and how important these are in the journey. A lot of times we make little changes in the traveling... take the bus instead of the car and we expect to get to somewhere different but end up in the same place! We used the same old roads and they got us to the same old place. And we are surprised! Gently look at where you are and what routes you are taking to get there. Do you need to make some changes in direction? If so, take your time. Give yourself love and time and make some new choices. Everyone is pulling for you... you can do it!

Autobiography in Five Chapters
By Portia Nelson

Chapter I

I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost... I am helpless.
It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

Chapter II

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don't see it.
I fall in again.
I can't believe I'm in the same place, but it isn't my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

Chapter III

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in...it's a habit.
My eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.

Chapter IV

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.

Chapter V

I walk down another street.
