Real Wisdom

wolf%20group.jpgToday I inspire you to have wisdom! Wisdom is different from intelligence... wisdom makes you wiser and when you are wiser you make better choices for yourself and thus for the world. In wisdom there is knowing what is right, good, kind and giving. There is compassion in wisdom. There is love! Let us not run after entertainment, or the acquiring of more stuff; let us run after wisdom and begin to change the world we see! Here is an old Indian tale about being wise. And if you have five minutes, see the wonderful video at the bottom of the page.

Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about

a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son,

the battle is between two 'wolves' inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret,

greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment

inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope,

serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence,

empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute

and then asked his grandfather,

"Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
