Today I would like to inspire you to trust your feelings and also be careful about doing so. Sound odd? Let me elaborate a bit. We all have feelings that come when we know something is right or wrong for us. We just know... But I would like to remind you that we also have feelings that offer us inaccurate information. There are times when we are upset and we are thinking in a state of fear. We can get all kinds of wacky feelings and most of them are not logical or true. I know when this happens to me I need to take a step back for a moment. I need to assess where these feelings and thoughts are coming from and decide for myself if they are true. Let me tell you this... I can spot an incorrect feeling and then attempt to put it right. But this has only come from much practice and many failures. When we can do this we will remain in a higher level of peace. This is the goal! To remain at a consistent level of peace. So the next time you find yourself really, really upset. Take a moment to sit and take care of yourself. Breathe and think: Am I evaluating this thought with feelings of fear? If so, is it logical. Am I feeling correctly or am I straying into dangerous territory... the land of Make Me Unhappy? If you decide that you are off track, it is a simple thing to correct. All that is really needed is the observation that you have gone off the path (of consistent peace) and automatically you will right yourself again. You will search your mind for the correct thinking and thus the correct feelings and then... you will preserve the peace you have worked so hard to build in your life!
