My Small Self

small%20selfLet me inspire you today to grow beyond your small self! My small self disappoints me! It constantly worries about it's self and causes me to spend vast amounts of energy on silly little things. My small self is often hurt very easily. It is as if it roams to and fro seeking the weeds, the opportunity for something said or done to cause me pain! When it finds something it blows it totally out of proportion and seeks to take away any attempts to resolve the issue in my mind. It is as if it feeds off of negative thoughts and feelings. The other day I heard: Let go of the small self! It hard to believe how much space we give it in our heads! More space then our sense of what is true and good and right. More space then the grace of our spirits for our spirits know what is true and good and right! There really is legitimate, severe pain that we go through and I am not talking about that kind of pain from the small self. I am talking about the feelings of insecurity, the anger at people while driving, the inflation of silly little things that cause us to give up our joy... Today, recognize when the small self demands that you get your feelings hurt! Tell yourself that you can let go of this small self and when you do, the real you, the spirit in you that is full of grace, will carry you to another world. A world full of peace and happiness!
