An Awakened Mind

judgement.jpgLet me inspire you to believe that an awakened mind judges not! I heard this the other day while I was driving (I hear all kinds of cool stuff when I drive). So I got to thinking about it. I thought about how much of our unhappiness comes from judging others. You may think that you don't spend much time judging the words and actions of others but let me ask you this: do you get irritated by how other people drive? That is making a judgement about them.... unconsciously we are thinking "I drive better then they do, they can't drive!"

I challenge you to examine how often you are in judgement of others and to discover how it affects you. Be conscious of being judgmental about people waiting in line, your co-workers, your children, your spouse, your boss, and your friends! Listen to the words in your head about these people. Are they kind words? Harsh words? Judgmental words? Catch yourself and right the wrong! Realize that you are being judgmental and stop doing it. Let people be how they are, drive how they drive, and exist how they exist! Maybe others will do the same for us!

I believe that if we can control our level of judging others we will become much happier ourselves! Try it... you might like how it makes you feel (and the other person as well).

To change the world it can start with me!

Namaste!
