Heavy Burdens

I inspire you to put your heavy burdens down... at the very least for a breather! You might not think you are carrying around any heavy burdens; but let me ask you this: is your mood carefree and light? If not, you are carrying some kind of heavy burden. If you sit for one moment and look at the burden you will see why you do not have to carry it any longer... it most likely isn't even your burden to carry!

It is a wonderful idea to carry around someone else's heavy burdens, but let me tell you today that it is a wasted effort! Wasted effort? Yes! Carrying around a heavy burden does absolutely nothing to dissipate it. You are virtually in a struggle that you cannot win.

When we are faced with some difficult situation we need to realize that we can do one of two things: we can carry that burden around, or we can deal with it head on.

There may not be things you can do right now… but there is a strategy you can come up with to deal with what needs to be done. Then you can do it. While waiting to do it you can sit the burden down because you have dealt with it.

Another thing… don’t make who you are about what burdens you are carrying. That is not you. You are safe and secure inside of yourself.

I inspire you to put your heavy burden down today… and help someone else you know is carrying around one too!

Namaste!

Burden-Opeth

I once upon a time
Carried a burden inside
Some will ask goodbye
A broken line but underlined
There's an ocean of sorrow in you

Sorrow in me

Saw movement in their eyes
Said I no longer knew the way
Given up the ghost
A passing minds and it's a fear
In the wait for redemption ahead

Waiting to fade

Fading again

If death should take me now
Count my mistakes and let me through
Whisper in my ear
Taken more than we've received
And the ocean of sorrow is you
