Life is but a constant flow

Let me inspire you to remember that life is a constant flow of motion. We can see this in the seasons… in our children… in our own bodies… so why is it so hard to accept certain kinds of change? We saw our 18 year old son off to college today… I am so proud of him… I will miss him so much. I was sad even though he is only about 50 miles away! It is an enormous change. When we left him there today, I wondered why it is that some changes are harder to take then others. Summer is coming to an end here on the east coast and for that I am glad! We recently got a new kitten (Scout) and I am tremendously blessed. But driving away from our son was not a thrill. Isn’t it funny how we judge things in our lives… we say, “this is good”, “this is bad”, “this is happy”, “this is sad”.
What would happen if we learned that life is a constantly moving entity; if we could learn not to judge these things that happen to us based on emotions we can ultimately control? We would move into a new level of peace. We would be helping to evolve our emotional and spiritual evolution for the entire human race.
As we drove home today, I had a little talk with me. It went kind of like this: Steph, change is change, it is not good or bad, only you make it so. Learn to accept all that comes and have a joyful heart and you will show many how to live… fully live!
Amen (so be it)!
