The Call 9: Fully Commit

Eeewww, this is a good one! Choosing to be here... sometimes I am tired of being here. I get tired of the searching, grasping, wanting, trying...

And yet I still choose to be here...

Wow, and look what Oriah has to say about attachment to having things work out our way! Lack of this attachment is not the same thing as indifference... thus, there is no easy way out. We must stay connected, we must be consciously here, now.

How do you become unattached to "having things work out the way we want them to"?

In a word: acceptance!

It does not mean that we must put up with being unhappy - it means that we are the driver of our own train - if something makes you unhappy then do something about it... but don't live in misery over it...

My husband and I have a struggle in our relationship sometimes. We communicate our feelings in an effort to change things... but I must accept that this struggle is present, and accept also that it is taking much work to find a way to live with our differences. But I have chosen to stay and work... so I must accept things as they are and continue to find peace in all.

Fully commit to a human life... don't just coast in mild despair... engage in life and create the joy you wish to see!

Namaste
