Ask for What you Need!

I call this piece "Ask for what you need"...
We don't do it and it would help us!
Assuming the other person knows what we are thinking about is dangerous territory!
Most of the time: THEY DON'T
Many, many problems in relationships stem from unsuccessful communication!
When someone has hurt you... tell them how you feel.
When someone does not seem to know what you need... tell them.
I know for me... so much of the time my feelings get hurt and I just sit with them. This puts distance in the relationship... in the intimacy.
A relationship killer: distance and lack of intimacy!
Go to that person and with a meek spirit tell them how you feel. Tell them what you are needing right now.
Most of the time this is a wake up call to the other person about how you are feeling.
Most of the time this is a bridge to reconciliation ... and this is what life is about... having successful relationships and knowing how to build bridges!
