Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a touchy subject for me. It wasn't when I was a very devout Christian... but it is now.

So, because of this, this quote is very helpful to me. Rcognizing the "insubstantiality of the past" is a great lesson in learning.

I know what some people say: the past makes us what we are, and perhaps that is true...

But the past really serves no valuable purpose except to learn from it and then let it go.

As Tolle says, "allow the present moment to be as it is". This is wisdom that I find hard to sink into my bones!

It is an ecceptance of what is no matter what... does it really matter how it got here, or does it really matter that it is here?

They say forgiveness is a way to health and healing... and I agree. Use it to bring you to a place of acceptance of the now and then there is no further need of it.

When we can truly eccept the now... we are free.

Practice Peace
