Break the Old Pattern

The old patterns are hard to break... I know, I have lots of them!

But the pattern of resisting the present moment will only set you up for permanent unhappiness.

I know... I've done that and still do!

When something hurts you so badly that it is ruining your present moment take the time you need to work through it and then, as soon as you can, discard it.

If you continue to live in the past you will make yourself sick... both emotionally and physically.

I think we spend more time fearing our past then we do fearing our future, but doing this will only leave you horribly unhappy in your Now and this won't help you at all with your future!

Tolle calls living in the past and the future "the time dimension", and he recommends that you step out of it as much as possible.

Why?

Because the Now is what is. The Now is here and actually will affect your future anyway.

The Now is what is around you and inside of you at this very moment.

If we are focused on the Now and living in the moment then we are alive and awake!

Notice the flowers on the way into work...

Notice the sounds in and out of your office...

Notice the silence in your head when you can cease the endless chatter...

Notice the sky at night, the waves of the sea, the smile on a strangers face!

LIVE... NOW... FULLY!

and Practice Peace
