Know Thyself

Know thyself.

It sounds so easy.... after all if anyone knows you ... it should be you... right?

But I seriously do not think it is that easy.

We are not taught in our culture to look within.

We are taught to be so preoccupied with what is going on outside of us.

I have been searching for truth most my adult life...

I have searched in many places...

Western religion, Eastern thought... you name it.

And today the only thing that rings true to my spirit is Know Thyself.

If we don't stop and look within... we are doomed as a person... family... nation... planet.

If we don't slow down and think about what is happening to us... about how we treat each other... what will become of us?

Look into my eyes... you will see yourself.

Please help me to stop judging you by what I see on the outside, and help me learn to look and behold that which is inside of you!

Help me to stop looking at how different we are.

Help me to see that you are a mirror image of me.

Help me to see that when I hurt you, I hurt myself.

Help me to see....

Help me to see....

Help me to see....

One day we will see each other with the eyes of our spirit. When that day comes I will know me and I will also know you!
